WACS, (The World Association of Chef's Societies), is a global network of chefs associations founded in 1928. From small beginnings it now has got a membership of 72 official chefs associations world wide.
An elected presidential body consisting of the WACS president, vice president, treasurer, secretary general and ambassador honorary president manages WACS. Plus a board of continental directors that look after regions of Asia, Europe, Africa, Americas and the Pacific which we are a part of. A separate committee manages all culinary competition-related affairs. Graham Hawkes from New Zealand Chefs Association is a member of this Culinary Committee.
WACS is a non-political professional organisation dedicated to maintaining and improving the culinary standards of global cuisines. These goals are accomplished through education, training and professional development of our international membership.
As an authority and opinion leader on food, WACS represents a global voice on all issues related to the culinary profession.
