Breakfast Chef, Pastry Chef, Demi Chef de Partie, Chef de Partie

We are seeking passionate, experienced, well presented, reliable professionals with excellent communication skills to fill these long term positions as we are expanding the lodge! We have an experienced team in the kitchen.

For the Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie roles, we're looking for a professional chef who are looking to take the next step in their early part of their career.You must be willing to learn and be guest focused with a passion for wanting to provide great service and a high standard of product. You will be able to follow direction and to work unsupervised and demonstrate good listening skills, and will need to be flexible with rosters as well. You must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. You will be working with high end ingredients, and you must be a team player. This is a unique and challenging role, where your creativity and ability is actively encouraged to develop your skills further, creating memorable experiences for our discerning international clientele. For the Breakfast Chef, we're looking for a professional chef who are wanting to work in a highly reagrded establishment. You must be willing to learn and be guest focused with a passion for wanting to provide great service and a high standard of product whilst displaying exceptional self discipline and a strong ability to cook. You will be able to follow direction and to work unsupervised and demonstrate good listening skills, and will need to be flexible with rosters as well. You must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. You will be working with high end ingredients, and you must be a team player. This is a unique and challenging role, where your creativity and ability is actively encouraged to develop your skills further, creating memorable experiences for our discerning international clientele.

For the Pastry Chef, a background in a fine dining restaurant and/or SLH, Michelin, Relais Chateaux or similar recognised properties is an advantage, but not necessary. This role would suit someone who has had formal training in Patisserie or those who have learnt on the job at a refined establishment with an interest in current trends. You must be guest focused with a passion for providing great service and a high standard of product. You will be able to follow direction and to work unsupervised, whilst sharing your knowledge with the team, and training our junior members on pastry. You will be working with high end ingredients, and you must be a team player. This is a unique and challenging role, where your creativity and ability is actively encouraged across all disciplines of Patisserie, creating memorable experiences for our discerning international clientele. Photos of your work and written references from recent and past employers is a mandatory requirement.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an internationally recognised award winning luxury lodge (2017 World Luxury Restaurant Awards Winner for New Zealand) that is situated beside a UNESCO World Heritage site.

We have Staff accommodation subject to availability in Glenorchy. All linen can be provided. Glenorchy is in a remote location, 40 minutes drive from Queenstown. Your own transport (such as a car or motorbike) is a necessity.
