"As President of The Central Branch of The Chefs’ Association, it gives me great pleasure to present to you a broad spectrum of our region’s so very talented chefs in this unique and special book.
The book showcases individual recipes, colourful photographs and bios from each chef, many of whom have garnered culinary awards over many years, and worked overseas, and have chosen to return to Hawkes Bay, bringing with them skills, talents and dedication to their craft, adding to the rich diversity of cuisine in Hawkes Bay.
The underlying principle behind this initiative is to future fund trainees, apprentices and youth to successfully compete in National cookery competitions and help to further their careers in hospitality throughout the region, nationally and internationally.
This book is a fundraiser, to continually and successfully maintain these important training initiatives. We are passionate volunteers. In purchasing this book, you are supporting our regional branch activities, as we grow the next generation of talented chefs
